About Our New England DJ

First things first, Sal is actually a truncated version of Salvatoriello that Nick goes by to save you the trouble of struggling to spell it. This act of shortening his last name just so others have an easier time speaks volumes about Nick’s character.

Nick hails form Hanover, New Hampshire and is the 6th of 11 children. The large family atmosphere was undoubtedly influential in his upbringing, and taught Nick how to get along in large groups. This may seem like a hectic environment to most, but Nick views this as a blessing that has helped shape him into the individual that he is today.

Aside from founding Versatile Sound Productions at the age of 15, Nick also excelled as a performing artist. Landing various leading and supporting dramatic roles, Nick also found time to lead his local a Capella group. [They sang “Steal my Kisses” for Ben Harper!]

After finishing high school in 2002, Nick participated in the Global Quest Program that landed him in Bangkok, Thailand. Nick explained that the program allowed him to develop an increased understanding of the international and interdependent nature of politics and problems.

Spending the remainder of his gap-year traveling the United States, Nick began his undergraduate academic career at Union College in the fall of 2003. Fostering his passion for international relations, Nick majored in Political Science.

In June 2007, Nick graduated Union with honors– securing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He was also inducted into the Political Science Honor Society, Pi Sigma Alpha.

Later that summer, Nick took the position of Assistant Director of Annual Giving in Union’s Department of College Relations. Nick spent 18 months as Assistant Director, during which time he directed and managed the Class Gift campaigns for the 10 most recent Alumni classes. Nick recruited and supervised a team of 100 volunteers, who along with his administrative assistant and four work study students, were able to raise over $170,000 from 5,000 potential young alumni alumni donors.

Nick’s warm personality served him well in the field of fundraising, as he collaborated with alumni and administrators with the intention of enhancing the Union College Annual Fund’s communication and visibility both on campus and off.

While fundraising for his alma mater, Nick enrolled in the Graduate College at Union University to pursue a Masters of Business Administration with a Global Business Concentration.

In February of 2009, Nick took on a new position as he amicably parted ways with the Union Fund. He worked in Albany as Dir. of Strategic Alliances for Garnet River LLC, a technology consulting firm that specializes in custom app development and systems integration.

In 2011, Nick relocated to Boston, Massachusetts to become one of the first 250 employees to join the booming internet start-up, Hubspot, as a member of their Customer Success Team.

In 2013, Nick joined the HubSpot Academy Team where he helped create customer training content and professional certification products that help HubSpot’s users master inbound marketing, grow their businesses, and delight their clients.  Nick has traveled all around the country speaking about HubSpot’s mission to help make the world more inbound.

After HubSpot’s IPO, across 2016-2022, Nick has worked at four of HubSpot’s leading Marketing Agency Partners, serving in various sales, client services and public speaking roles – all of which helped him become the best performer/master of ceremonies that he could be.

As you can see, Nick’s well established career in marketing, multi-media, consulting and public speaking supplements his 20+ years of DJ experience to help create unique, memorable, and meaningful events for clients like you.
